Silvio Severino is a contemporary artist, photographer and collage maker based in Cork, working in both analogue and digital formats across photography, collage, illustration, animation and film.
Born and raised in Brazil and now over two decades in Europe, Silvio brings a fresh eye to Irish landscapes and folklore, which made him the perfect fit for our third Redacted Whiskey release, the 11 Year Old Single Malt from Dingle Distillery, finished in a Sauternes cask and bottled in collaboration with the legendary Dick Mack's Pub in Dingle.
His work is a vibrant fusion of surrealism and pop art expression, often built from a love of randomness and chance. Photography becomes collage, collage becomes animation, and the finished piece tends to land somewhere unexpected.
For our Dingle bottling, Silvio drew on the otherworldly atmosphere of the Kerry Gaeltacht, that magical sense of stepping into a place where time slows, stories grow taller, and great Irish whiskey flows. The result sits beautifully alongside the bottle's full Dingle Gaeilge label, the first Irish whiskey release to carry its label entirely in the local dialect.
